History

Over twenty years ago, a team of production professionals formed an organization that would evolve to become Women In Film.Dallas, a non-profit organization committed to empowering, promoting, and mentoring women and men in the entertainment, communication, and media industries. WIF.Dallas is quickly growing to become one of the regions and part of the world’s most active, exciting, and influential industry organizations.
WIF.Dallas focuses on creating educational workshops, programs, screenings, networking events, and advancement opportunities. Our members are involved at every level in feature films, documentaries, commercials, and corporate productions. As an organization, we combine our talents to produce Public Service Announcements for non-profit organizations, create scholarships for college students, and provide jobs for them as interns. Mentoring is available at the entry level and professional level for both women and men wishing to advance their knowledge and careers. Education and assistance have remained the primary focus for WIF.Dallas to give back to the community.
