    2013 Chick Flicks Festival Line-Up

    A Quiet Strength

    (Directors/Cinematographers/Editors - Bobbie Baird & Deborah Hammond)

A single, working mother in the heart of the Mississippi Delta sees hard work, education and faith as the foundation for raising her three high school daughters. She is neither a hero nor a victim of society, but rather a simple, hardworking woman who puts one foot in front of the other each day with quiet strength.

    Cielo Lindo

    STUDENT

(Writer/Director/Editor - Iris Lopez and Producer - Margie Ramirez)

At the point of starvation, a homeless young girl copes with hunger and her harsh reality by her imagination. Cielo Lindo deals with hope, and shows how strong ones imagination can be during hard times.

    Until Tonight

    (Writer/Director - Leah Chen Baker)

A 1940's Film Noir, boy-meets-girl vignette that explores the romanticism of classical cinema.

    Mail (Male) Order

    (Writer/Director/Lead Actor - Janet Spencer)

A little old lady is preparing for a not so typical afternoon.  She is in a sexy nightgown and peignoir, puts on her makeup and wig, reads from the “Kama Sutra” and does a little dance. The bell rings: it is her mail (male) order!

    My Super Valentine
    STUDENT

    (Writer/Director - Jing Yang)

Imaginative 7-year-old Ashley's fantastical adventure in an art class on Valentine's Day. And yes, there are boys involved.

    Right of the Line

(Producer - Maddy Johnston and Sound Designer - Reyna Cuellar)

Kent, a seasoned Marine, is returning home after his last tour in Iraq. He has been diagnosed with PTSD and now must learn to adjust to life at home with his wife and son.

    Sex and Septuagenarian

    (Writer/Director - Carolyn Banks and
    Cinematographer/Editor - Jessica Gardner)

Benjamin is an old, henpecked guy who is miraculously revived when email from an old flame reminds him that he was once quite the stud.

    Static

(Lead Actress - Morgan Alana Taylor and Supporting Actress - Elise Baughman and Casting Director - Katrina Cook)

Made for the 2012 168 Film Project, "Static" is about a young girl who struggles to reconnect with her father, an astronaut in a damaged space station.

    The Loving Dead

(Writer - Stephanie Pertuit and Lead Actor - Maredith Zaritski)

A physical therapist obsessed with her patient finally gets what she wants when the object of her affection becomes one of the undead. She now has the perfect boyfriend. Or does she? Love is never having to say you're sorry...

    When It's Your Time

(Director/Producer - Carolyn Hodge and Producer - Sharon Garrison and Writer - Cathy Bible and Composer/Associate Producer - Angie Thompson)

Russell works in a bookstore in his small town, but the only thing tolerable about the job is the pinball machine in the corner. He prefers playing pinball over dealing with customers, except a beautiful young woman who strolls in. Then, a stranger with something else on his mind enters the store.
