Synopsis:
Hearing impaired, homeless Gala escapes from a man who continually abuses her. While her life becomes a routine in an abandoned old truck on a mountain road, she is unaware the abusive man finds out where her hiding place is. One night, after a brutal attack, she finds the strength to stand up one last time and starts walking. She has no clue where this survival walk will end up and change her life forever!

Director Bio:
Turkish Artist, Aycil Yeltan earned her MFA in acting from CalArts. As a classically trained actress, she has performed in numerous stage productions both in the US and abroad. Aycil most recently played the role of Sasha in "Shirin in Love" by Iranian film director Ramin Niami and Turkish Film "We were Dining and I Decided" where she played one of the leads, touring Film festivals around the Globe. "Topanga" is the second short film she wrote, directed and produced. As also a classically trained musician, Aycil plays the cello and sings.
