The approval process is conducted by the WIFD Board of Directors at a monthly meeting. We appreciate your patience while we carefully consider every applicant. If you have any questions regarding the application and approval process, please reach out to the membership chair, Abbey Killin at membership@wifdallas.org.
If you are applying for student membership, please email your proof of student enrollment (current course schedule or acceptance letter) to membership@wifdallas.org
*Some of the ways Students and Associates can fulfill volunteer requirement:
Volunteer at 3 WIFD Events. Tasks may include helping with setup/tear down, filming/photographing event, checking in attendees, etc.)
Work on the PSA Production (fulfills volunteer requirement 100%)
Serve on a committee (Membership, Scholastic Grant Fund, PSA/Production, Programs, etc.)
Work on WIFD film festival, currently the Topaz Film Festival. Tasks may include curating films, designing promotional materials, assisting the day of the festival to check attendees in, etc.
