FESTIVAL GUIDELINES

Our 2015 categories are:

• Female Filmmakers - open to shorts directed by a woman. Shorts are also eligible if women are in two (2) or more of the following above-the-line positions: writer, producer, director of photography or editor. Official selections in this category qualify for the Best of Fest Award and the Audience Choice Award.

• Short Flicks by Texas Chicks - requires all of the above plus ties to Texas. Official selections in this category qualify for the Best of Fest Award, Audience Choice Award and Texas Award.
    

 FESTIVAL PRIZES

The Best of Fest winner will receive a cash award.

The Texas Award winner will receive a cash award.

Audience Choice winner will receive prize packages. 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Official selections will be notified by early October 2015. A panel of industry professionals will choose the Best of Fest winner, as well as the Texas Award winner. The Audience Choice winner will be chosen via audience ballot.

SUBMISSION INFORMATION

We accept narrative, documentary, animated, and experimental short films in any genre with a runtime of 25 minutes or less. Films must have been completed after January 1st, 2011. No premiere status required.

What to submit:   

• Your Short Film via password protected link (i.e., Vimeo or YouTube) - No DVDs
• Filmmaker Bio (max 90 words) - Word or PDF file
• Film Synopsis (max 50 words) - Word or PDF file
• Production Stills (1-3) - 300dpi JPG file

Please Note: We are only accepting electronic submissions. No postal mail will be accepted. 

Guidelines:

• Must be 18 years or older to submit.
• Film must be in English, or have English subtitles.
• Film may not exceed 25 minutes in length (including titles and credits).
• Narrative, documentary, animated, and experimental short films in any genre are accepted. No music videos.
• Film must have been completed after January 1, 2011.
