It's time to elect our 2023 WIFD Board of Directors!
Voting is open to all active, eligible members and is anonymous. If you are not a member, you may renew or apply by clicking HERE.
In order to cast your vote, a separate email is forthcoming from WIFD that includes a link to your Survey Monkey ballot. All voting is SECURE and ANONYMOUS. Members are allowed one ballot and one vote for each position up for election.
The deadline to vote is noon Monday, December 5th, 2022.

Here are the officer positions, elected for 2 Year Term beginning January 1, 2023.
PRESIDENT: Oversees the day-to-day functions of the organization, acts as the representative of the organization as needed for public speaking opportunities and an ambassador for the organization, chairs the monthly board meetings, works with the Board to create engaging and educational programs and opportunities for the organization's members, and performs various other duties as necessary.
VICE PRESIDENT: Assists the President with all duties outlined above, promotes the organization in the President's absence, and performs various other duties as necessary.
SECRETARY: Keeps the minutes of meetings and members, is the custodian of corporate records and documents, and performs those duties incident of Secretary.
TREASURER: Accounts for all monies due and payable to the organization, keeps accurate receipts, and deposits funds.
THE BALLOT
There are five candidates on this year's ballot - one for president, one for vice president, one for treasurer and two for secretary. Additional board seats will be appointed by the 2023 President-elect.

Board / Leadership Experience
I have served on the Board for Women in Film Dallas for four years.
WIFD Service & Membership
I have been a member of WIFDallas for 5 years and have attended 90% of everything WIFD has done. I have volunteered and worked on every PSA and participated in every meeting and workshop unless booked on a gig or out due to illness. I have created a podcast and produced many panel discussions and other programming for this organization and supported the Topaz Directors for the Topaz Film Festival by attending and hosting panel discussions. :)

I have been a working producer, makeup artist, and actress for 28 years and
am now also a podcast host and public speaker.

Board / Leadership Experience
I serve on the local board of SAG-AFTRA. I belong to AEA (Actor’s Equity Association) and served on the DFW area liaison committee and Education and Outreach Committee as well as the advisory board of STAGE, an artists’ support organization. I recently retired from a teaching position at Collin College where I led the theatre discipline.
WIFD Service & Membership
I worked to facilitate communication between the WIFD membership and the public. I attended all WIFD monthly Zoom meetings, securing many of the guest speakers, and Women’s Workup Wednesdays, welcoming and mentoring new and current members. I worked with the Board to create the 2022 SYMPOSIUM and moderated the SAFETY panel. I served as a programmer for the 2022 Topaz Film Fest and hosted two watch parties. I co-hosted with President Tiffany Vollmer We’re just sayin,’ a podcast which highlights our amazing members. I am WIFD representative to the WIFT-US President’s Conference
Professional Experience
I’ve spent the last 40 years working in the theatre/broadcast community in Dallas as an actor, teacher, stage director and activist. Nikki Dixon
Candidate for Secretary
Board / Leadership Experience
I have served on the Dallas-Fort Worth Board of SAG-AFTRA for the last three terms. I am currently the 1st Vice President. In previous terms, I have led the SAG-AFTRA Awards Party committee, as well as the UpCast Committee. I also serve as Co-Chair of the Next Gen National Committee of SAG-AFTRA.
WIFD Service & Membership
I have been a member of WIFD for four years. Prior to COVID, I was a panelist in the first symposium spearheaded by then President Alicia Pascual. This year, I again served as a WIFD Symposium panelist on the Script to Screen panel. I also hosted this year's Topaz Film Festival
Professional Experience
I am a working actor. I have been on shows such as Queen of the South, Chase, Longmire and Snowfall. I recently wrote and was an assistant producer on my first short film, Ensure. The piece has been accepted into its very first film festival.

Erin has been honored for her charity work as a recipient of the ExtraordinaryIs Community Impact Award, and by the City of Dallas and Dallas Morning News. She has served on the board for these nonprofits: Women In Film Dallas; The Black Academy of Arts and Letters; Dallas Chamber Orchestra; Dallas Opera and many more.

It's been an honor to have been a member of WIFD for years and to have served as your 2022 BOD Secretary. I have helped create and worked on: professional educational events; screenings; happy hour networking events; past presidents luncheon; website consulting; symposium; panel discussions; PSA; and grants and scholarships committee.
Professional Experience
Erin Nicole Parisi is an award winning, Emmy nominated producer, director, production designer, and writer. She is the co-founder of Kinetigraf Entertainment, a digital media company. Since 2009, Erin has worked and served as the director of several nonprofit film festivals, including Best of Fest and Dallas VideoFest.

Board / Leadership Experience
I have experience working in both corporate and non-profit organizations: Ballet Concerto (Fort Worth) – Development, Vice President and President; Business Volunteers for the Arts (Fort Worth) – Board Member; Cash Management Association (New Orleans) – Founding Board Member.
WIFD Service & Membership
As an active member of WIFD for about 12 years, I participated in three PSAs prior to this year. I currently serve on the board as Treasurer and hope to continue for another term. I accomplished a lot this year and look forward to the opportunity to continue streamlining our financial procedures.

A TCU graduate with a BA in Theatre/Television (Business Administration minor) and MS in Media Communication, I am, primarily, an actress, but I teach, coach and have directed and produced several projects, including as line producer on a feature film. I first appeared on television when I was FIVE!
