 To our WIFD Family,

Please join us for a special WIFD 40th Anniversary Event on Monday,   September 23rd! We will be featuring Cynthia Salzman Mondell, one   of our founding members and an award-winning documentary   filmmaker.

This event will take place in two parts from the comfort of your home   or office or wherever you are located in the world!  The evening will   start with an interview with Cynthia Salzman Mondell by ZOOM.   When you RSVP to the event, you will receive a ZOOM link in a   separate email.  After our discussion ends, the second part of the   evening program, a screening of A REASON TO LIVE, will take place   on KERA-TV Channel 13 or via streaming on KERA’s website.

Cynthia Salzman Mondell is a Texas treasure. She was a founding   member of Women In Film Dallas. She has served as the WIFD   president and on the board, chaired many committees, mentored   members, and represented the WIFD chapter at Women in Film   Television International. She attended the first Women in Film annual   meeting in Washington D.C.

In 1978, Cynthia and her husband, Allen Mondell, formed Media Projects Inc., a non-profit committed to producing and distributing social issue films. They have created over 41 documentaries which have been seen by millions at such venues as The Sixth Floor Museum, The Women’s Museum, and the State Fair of Texas. Their award-winning films have aired on PBS and been used by schools and community groups to educate and encourage dialogue.

Hope you will join us for this special WIFD program!

Best wishes,

Erin Nicole Parisi
